A GUMDIGGER KILLED.

[BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT. Kawakawa, Saturday. A digger, a native of Sweden, known only as " Steve," was killed during Thursday night while sleeping in his whare at Waungalowai. A dead kauri tree fell through the roof, smashing his head in. The police brought the body in yesterday, and Mr. Bishop, coroner, held an inquest,, when a verdict of "Accidental death " was recorded. The deceased is said to have £800 in some bank.
