ELECTION NEWS.
[BY TELEGRAPH. — PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Sunday. Mr. Thomas Carter, president of the Seamen's Union, announces himself a candidate for a city seat. At a meeting of the trades organisations the voting for a labour representative at the coming election resulted in Messrs. W. McLean, F. H. Fraser, and C. J. Worth receiving the largest number of votes.
