CHARGE OF HUSBAND-MURDER. Sydney, November 22. Mrs. Collins was tried to-day on » charge of murdering her first husband (Andrews) by poison, but the jury were unable to agree, and the woman was remanded in custody. THE POWDER EXPLOSION. Melbourne, November 22. Mewrer, _ who was badly burnt by the explosion at a powder factory id St. John's Gully, is dead. THE REPORTED OUTRAGE. Melbourne, November 22. It transpires that the outrage at th house of Mrs. Blake was for the purposes of robbery only, and there was no assault. ESCAPE OF A TIGER. Brisbane, November 22. A royal Bengal tiger escaped from r> menagerie at Brisbane, and before it was recaptured it attacked one of the attendants, tearing him from head to foot, and scalping him in such a manner that his brains are exposed. He now lies in a critical state. The proprietor of the menagerie was also attacked by the savage beast and severely lacerated. GERMAN REPRISALS. Sydney, November 22. News has reached here that one of the German warships now at the Gilbert Group lias punished the natives at Tarawa and Apiang for often against the Germans.
