[press association.] London, October 4. At to-day's auction 9000 bales of wool were sold. The present series closes on October 10. One hundred New Zealand frozen bullocks have been sold at £10 each. New Zealand frozen mutton is selling at s|d ; Australian ditto at 4|d. London, October 6. Wool is slightly easier, owing to inferior selections offering. Continental buyers purchased about half quantity on Friday when 13,000 bales were sold. For to-day's sales 10,000 bales are catalogued. One hundred and thirty bales _of Australian leather sold at £d decline on last quotations. 250 bales basils sold at from %d to £d advance. [PER ST. Z. L. AND M. A. CO,. LIMITED.] London, October 5. Wool.—Market is unchanged, except for superior scoured merino, which has advanced Id per lb. Coarse crossbred market is easier, and greasy crossbred lambs has declined Id to Hd per lb since close of last sales. Up to date, 163,000 bales have been sold. Tallow.Market firm. It has been higher since we last telegraphed, but has declined. Good mutton is worth 28s 3d, and good beef 27s 6d per cwt.
