DREADFUL TRAGEDY IN QUEENSLAND.

A shocking tragedy was reported to the Mackay police on September 29. John Aitken, a selector, aged between 40 and 50 years, residing between Sandy and Alligator Creeks, according to the messenger who brought the news, had a quarrel with his wife.
