THE GREY MOUTH COAL MINES
[BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Greymouth, Thursday. The Greymouth branch of the Westport Coal Company was closed to-day, and the management of the Wallsend Coalpit Heath Mines was handed over to Mr. Martin Kennedy, who will in future assume control of the shipping of all minerals from the Brunner, Wallsend, and Coalpit Heath Mines. This is the first step consequent on the amalgamation of the Brunner Coal Mining Company with the Union Steamship Company, which takes effect on Saturday next.
