At a meeting of creditors of Joseph Hansby, late master of the Hawea, who was arrested and brought back from the BlulT, it was resolved to allow him to proceed to Melbourne. In his evidence the bankrupt stated he had sent £16 or £17 to his wife in Melbourne by the purser of the Manapouri, and given £8 to Warbrick, the footballer, to take care of.
