PANIC ON BOARD A STEAMER.
«. Melbourne, April 19. There was a very narrow escape of a serious collision between the P. and O. steamer Oceana and the steamer Casino in the Bay early this morning. Particulars have not been allowed to transpire, but it is known that a panic was occasioned, and that the passengers rushed on deck in their nightdresses. Some of the passengers aver that the vessels actually struck each other.
