SERIOUS SHOOTING AFFAIR.
[BY TELEORitPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Dunedin, Thursday. From particulars to hand of a shooting affray at Thoreburgh, it appears that Isaac diaries Worth, jerated water manufacturer, offered to give a miner named Barney O'Neill a ride in his trap. While waiting for him, Charles Worth made some remark about O'Neill's daughter which annoyed O'Neill, and the latter retorted with soma other remark, when Charles Worth seized a gun and fired at O'Neill, the shot striking him on the head and face, the former being perforated and the face almost reduced to a pulp. O'Neill is in a very low state, but is expected to pull through. Charles Worth was arrested.
