London, January 8, The Oriental Bank have purchased the assets of the old company, comprising a million and a-half pounds worth of shares, and three-quarters of a million debentures, which were acquired altogether for one million nine hundred thousand pounds. Mr. Service, the Premier, proposes that a conference of tho Premiers of the various Australasian colonies bo held here in a fortnight's time, to consider the present aspect of the annexation question.
