Roue, January 8. * The Italian Government has decided to garrison its station at Assab, on the Red Sea. SECRET SOCIETY OF DYNAMITERS. London, January 8. It is currently reported here that the English detectives have discovered the headquarters of a secret society of dynamiters in Pennsylvania, United States, and proofs that the recent explosions in England were plotted by the members of that society. LONDON MARKETS. London, January 8. Consols have advanced to 99£. New Zealand securities are unchanged. The market rate of discount has further fallen to 3f per cent. The bank rate is 5 per cent. The markets for colonial produce are unchanged. London, January 8. Consols remain at 99|-. New Zealand securities remain at last quotations. The total reserve in the Bank of England in notes and bullion is £11,300,000, a decrease during the week of £100,000. The proportion of reserve to liabilities remains at 33 per cent. The bank rate of discount is unchanged at 5 per cent., and the market rait at 3f. The markets for colonial breadstuff's and . tallow* are without quotable change.
