EASTER RACES AT COROMANDEL.
A very good day's sport was had in Mr. Lynoli's paddock on Easter Monday, although the affair was somewhat late in getting matters arranged, bnt the day being line a large number of people assembled oil the ground. The following are the events :— Miners' Pubse Handicap.—First prize, £5; 2nd, £1. Three started. Foster'* Olive, 1 ; Matlock, 2. CoKoiiANDEii Cot Handicap.—Prize, £20. Five started. Corcoran's Rawen&ta, 9a> 31bs, 1 ; Koura's Diver, 9st 51b, 2. Hurry Scurry Handicap.—lst prize, saddle; 2nd, £1. Foster's Olive, 7st 41bs, 1 ; Loram's Slim Jim, 2. Five started. Handicap Hurdle Race, over eight flights of hurdles . 3 feet 6 inches high; prize, £15.—Loram's Hardie, list, 1; Joe's Carena, 9st 51b, 2. Pont Race Handicap, 14 hands 1 inch and under; Ist prize, a saddle; 2nd, £I.— Foster's Olive, 9at, 1; Barrett's Minnie, Tat, 2. Four started. Consolation Race.—Houra's Diver, 1; Joe's Maori Win, 2. Four started.
