There seemed to be a pretty general feeling that the date should be altered, it' such could be done without iucouveuiencc to the club or its patrons. After this business was disposed of the prizes won at the meeting held on the 30th ultimo were paid over to the successful winners, and several toasts in bumpers of champagne sueli as " Success of the Club," and the good health of the wiuners, was drunk and responded to. Altogether a most pleasant evening was spent, and from the large attendance it is very evident that the Takapuna Jockey Club is in great favour with the sporting public.
