Tltr. beautiful weather that we have experienced during the past iuw days gives every promise of holding up, and iu that case there should !-e a very large attendance at the Sprine Meeting of the Takapuna Jockey Club, which takes place to-dav. The committee and their indefatigable secretary, Mr. C. C. Dacre, have "left no stone unturned in endeavouring to make the meeting a success, and I have little doubt that the public will to-day second their eilorts iu a substantial manner. The Kerry Company have laid on special steamers, and they will leave Queen-street Wharf every fifteen minutes. Mr. Dacre notifies that a scow will leave the reclamation tiiis morning at nine o'clock, to convey competing horses to the aSorth Shore. A steamer will also leave the Railway Wharf at the same hour.
