QUARANTINED PASSENGERS FOR NEW ZEALAND. Adelaide, January 20. The passengers for New Zealand by the Mirzapore, now quarantined here, are Miss Peliclian, Messrs. Collon, Passmore, and Ghost. PRECAUTIONS AGAINST SMALL-POX. Sydney, January 20. Every precaution is being taken to prevent infection from the small-pox patients on board. The Health Officers have ordered the Adelaide mails to be exposed in the open boat for 24 hours before being landed. The cargo to be 48 hours. BANK DIVIDEND. Sydney, January 20. The Bank of Sydney pays a dividend for-the past half-year at the rate of 25 per cent, per annum, and carries £10,000 to the reserve. THE GARONNE'S PASSENGERS. Melbourne, January 20. It is probable that all the Garonne's saloon passengers now in quarantine will be released at an early date. BANQUET TO ADMIRAL WILSON. Sydney, January 20. A public banquet was tendered to Rear-Admiral Wilson on the occasion of his departure from the colonies. It took place last night, The affair was a great success. FRENCH ESCAPEES. Brisbane, January 20. Six escapees from New Caledonia have landed at Bowen. Two have been captured by the police. HOT WEATHER IN AUSTRA- | LIA. Adelaide, January 20. ADELAIDE GRAIN MARKET. Adelaide, January 20. The wheat market continues firm. Wheat per bushel is 4s lOd to 4s lid. Town flour per ton is £11 10s to £11 12s 6d ; country brands, £10 10s to £10 15s.
