THE NORTHERN BOOT AND SHOE MANUFACTURING CO.
A meeting of shareholders in this compauy was held yesterday afternoon at Messrs. Austin's premises, Wyndham-street, the business being the formation of the company. On the motion of Mr. G-. Aiekin," Mr. C. J. Stone was called to the chair. The Chairman said it had been arranged to form the company as soon as 10,500 shares wero applied for, and as more than that number had been applied for, he moved that the company be now formed. Mr. Aiekin Beconded the motion, and it "was carried. Messrs. C. J. Stone, Mitehelson, A. Li»ybourne, G. Aiekin, J. Gittos, R. C. Carr, [ and Jas. Heron were, on the motion of Mr. Heron, elected directors. Mr. Milne was elected auditor, Mr. Austin manager, and Mr. T. Hodson secretary. It was agreed that the bankers of the company should be | the Bank of New Zealand, and the solicitors Messrs. Whitaker, Russell, and Buddie. A vote of thanks to the chairman terminated the meeting.
