THE FIGHTING AT HOKIANGA.

Hokiaxga, Saturday. Me. Von Stctbmkr returned last night from the scene of the native row at- Punakitere. He succeeded in so far pacifying them that they have agreed to conjointly occupy the disputed land, pending; settlement by the Native Land Court. A son of Komene was wounded,, a bullet going through both thighs, but this is the only casualty. Each side had built a pa, and made preparations for the fight. The persons who fired will bs charged at the Resident Magistrate's Court, as soon Komene's son recovers.
