The annual meeting of the members of the Auckland Racing Club will be held to-day at 2 p.m. for tho purpose of receiving tho report and balancesheet for the last year, and also for the election of a committee.
This evening the long-promised service of song, under the auspices of tho Auckland Band of Hope Union, is to be given in St. James's Hall, Wei-liDgton-street. The piece to be performed is 11 John Tregenoweth, his Hark," which has been in course *f rehearsal for some time past. The entertainment is likely to be an interesting one-
