Mr. ami Mrs. James Scott, sen., of Papa toitoi, celebrated their "golden wedding" on the sth April. On the happy occasion there were present three of their sons and one daughter, out of a family of six children, two of their daughters-in-law, and a number of personal friends. The worthy couple arc colonists of 22 years' standing, 15 of which wero spent at AUipara, Manconui. and the remainder at Papa toitoi, where they are > well known and respectcd.
