The Kev. \V. Mokley, in moving that the report and balance-sheet he adopted and printed for circulation, said the report submitted showed that a good deal of quiet progress had been made during the ye.tr, und although the amount due was greater than th«fc of last year, . it should be recolected that a large sum had been spent on the building, so that the h:\lance-shcet showed favour.vMy, and there hud been a large increase in subscribers and member*. There were nvmy features in the report which could not he estimated. The Theatre services had done good, and those who observed those service* most closely saw that they were largely attended by r.or, churchgoers, the el*ss whom they were intended to rcach. At fir.>t these services were mostly attended by people who attended the services of their own tdmrchcs as well, but they were gratified to find that non-churchgoers, persons who probably would not attend any church, now attend those services. He did not know whether this was the placc to speak of the diligence of the officers, hut the society was much indebted to them. He moved, "That the report and balance-sheet be adopted, and minted for circulation."

Mr. Ewingtox seconded the resolution. There was a very cheering prospect in the report, that was the increased number of subscribers, which evidenced tho incieased confidence felt in tho Association. As to the debit Of 1-100, he hoped the incoming committee would make arrangements to wipe it oft ad soon an possible, for nothing operated go much against tho usefulness of any institution as being in debt.

Mr. SUALttFlis spoke in support of the resolution, ami bore testimony to the usefulness of the Theatre services, from which many had been lod to join the several churches.

The motion was put, aud carried unanimously.
