TAIRUA.
On Saturday, June 14, a concert was given in the school-room by the young men employed at the mill, and several ladies, who kindly volunteered their help. The proceeds of tho concert were given to the committee of the Sunday-school for the purchase of books, music, &c. The room was well-filled, and every one delighted with the performance. After the concert the room was cleared, and a good dance thoroughly enjoyed. Preparations are being made to give another concert on the sth July in the new dining-room. Next week we hold a meeting far the purpose of forming an accident fund, a society very much needed at Tairua. —[A Correspondent.]
