[by telegraph, press association.] Wellington, Thursday. Tiie acceptanco of the resignation of the Hon. Robert Stout, as a member of the Executive Council, is gazetted ; also, the acceptance of his resignation of the office of Attorney-General and Minister of Lands and Immigration, and that of the office of Land Claim Commissioner. The following appointments have been made : —John James Winsbury White, to be Returning and Registration Officer of Picton and|Waira.u ; John Henry Shaw, to b* Assistant Law Secretary, vice Mr. E. Stafford resiuned ; Mr. John Bsswick, J.P., to be magistrate of Lyttelton, with jurisdiction up to £100, vice Dr. Donald retired. It is notified that money order and savings bank offices will be opened at Mohaka (chief office, Napier), Porangahau (chief office, Napier), Otaki (chief office, Wellington), and Duntroon (chief office, Dunedin), from and after the Ist July next. Alterations and additions to the rates for the conveyance, delivery, and storage of [joods, parcels, &c, on all the New Zealand railways have been made. Alterations have been made in the tariff }n commercial travellers and theatrical companies' luggage. Children under 14 years of age will be jharged half-rates for the season, and priviege tickets same as ordinary ticket.
