First ties : [lock beat Frolic, Gipp beat Omega, Balnoral beat Belle, Buckshot beat Honeynoon, Mechanic beat Flora, Temple beat Uiiemoa, Bonny beat Carlyle, St. Albans beat Speculation, Papanui beat Reofer, Verbena >eat Caitophille, Russian Emperor beat brigadier, Kathleen beat Nora. After the conclusion of the Waterloo Cup, ihe Purse was commenced, with the followug result: —New Zealand Waterloo Purse, or dogs beaten in the first round for the rVaterloo Cup : Winner, £37 10s j rannerip, £15; third and fourth dogs, £7 10s aoh; fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth logs, £5 each; winners of one course, 12 10s each. Mr. H. Driver's Ledgerdeeper beat Connell's Doncaster, Jerome's Jill Gill beat Bell's Casetta; Surman'e Gipp ieat Ridler, Brenda; Blockman's Gazelle teat Duncan's Blue Bell; Rupert (late ienicia Boy) beat Messrs.
