ACCIDENT IN QUEEN-STREET.
Charlbs Smith, a 3'oung man, son of S. C. Smith, furniture-dealer, Hobson-street, met with a d»ngerou3 accident yesterday, while employed ou the upper door of Arthur and Co.'s auction mart. He was standing on the upper floor of the mart watching a hogshead being lowered into a dray, and was guiding its descent, with his hand on the chain, when suddenly the pully gave way, and, losing his balance, the young man was precipitated to the street. His fall was somewhat broken by the hogshead, but he fell heavily. He was couveyel to the shop of Mr. Edsou, chemist, who examined him, and ascertained that no bones were broken, and he was then taken to his father's residence in Hobsen-streot in a cab.
