Kewi Maniapoto, with Mr.William Swan- H eon, M.H.8., the Kev. J. Wellie, Mr. M Joseph Newman, and other gentlemen jj visited Mr. Wiseman's saddlery and har- j fc ness establishment, Queen-street, on 12th n of Jnne. JRowi was surprised to see the n| nnmerous appliances for manufacturing % saddlery, &c., and appeared particularly |ji struck with the large sewing machines, 2| aplitfcing machines, &o. On leaving, Mr. 5i Wiseman preeented Rewi with & very hand- JS some Somerset riding: saddle, with the A ollowing inscription (written by Mr. C. O. Sfl Davis) stamped on the.inside flap: — "Ki sg a Rewi Maniapoto. He aroha, maunga- W ronga hoki kua man nei i nea iwi e rna.— 3 NiHbmi WAiHiMAifa."
