INTER-PROVINCIAL PIGEON MATCH.
The Auckland team did their part in the inter-provincial pigeon match—Auckland v. Dunedin—at Ellerslie, on Saturday afternoon last. We have not yet received information of the firing at Dunedin, hut the Auckland score is so good that it is very probable it will be highest. If the Otago gentlemen make a better score, the match will be most creditable to both parties. The Auckland team was composed of the best shots in the province. The day was fine, and the birds rose well, so that it was really good firing by which the large score of 205 was made. Mr. \V. J. Marks acted as umpire for Auckland, and Mr. Bastard for Dunedin. The score was as follows :— ACCKLAND TEAM. K. ■\Vvnyard 2220221810202 IS J. Russell 2212200202211 17 A. Aitken 202022220.:212 19 E.Hill 2121101222222 20 R. J. Middleton IS R. JIcG.
