WAIOTAHI DISTRICT SCHOOL.

The School (Committee's prize, of Miss-' Strickland's Queen's of England," 8 vols., value £5 6s, was competed for by 15 candi-' dates, and the award made by the judges, Dr. Kilgour, Mr. Willkinson, and Mr. Carpenter, -who stparately and collectively examined the written answers. The result was placing the following six in rotation, and, on comparing the numbers with the sealed packet containing the names of competitors with the number indicated, stood thus: —l, Wilson Skeen, "Waiotahi School; 2, Frank Weston, Shellback School; 3», ( , Albert Fuljames, Shellback School; 4, Henry Carter, Shellback School;. 5, Annie Morgan, Thames School; :6, William Xre-. goning, Thames School.
