[Before Thos. Jackson, Esq.. R.M.,aud K T. Corbett Esq., J.P.] Mr. Rees, on behalf of the Bar, congratulated His "Worship on taking his seat on the Bench. His Worship thr.nked the Bar for their courtesy, and hoj)cd he would merit their good wishes. Totohee, a native, was fined us, and costs 5s Gd, for being drunk. Mackay v. Mooke. —Assault.—This case was struck out, there being no appearance of parties. Hori Tirawa, charged with obtaining money under false pretences, was remanded till the 23rd inst. CIVIL CASES. Judgments for Plaintiffs.—Porter v. Loyd: Claim, £12 6s 6d; costs, 20s. Leathern v. Webb: Claim, £3 10s 2Ad .'; costs, 425. Wells v. Webb: Claim, £4 0s 4Ad ; costs, 235. Higgin3 v. Davis : Claim, £13 12s; costs, 20s. Miller v. Logan : Claim, £14 Is costs of dividing fence. As plaintiff had put up this fence on land claimed by defendant, some 30 feet from boundary, the title to land being disputed, the Court had no jurisdiction. Mr. Kissling for plaintiff; Mr. Rees for defendant.
