[most OUB KING george's sound telegraphic CORRESPONDENT. ] Adelaide, Sunday, 10 a.m. The steamer Alexandra, Captain J. W. Brown, arrived off Glenelg Pier at midnight, having made the quickest passage from the Sound on record, namely, 86i- hours. The downward passage occupied 120 hours, owing to heavy westerly gales and confused seas, which lasted for three days. The Bombay arrived six hours afterwards, and reported similar weather; she left Galle at 10"30 a.m. on the 4th inst. The P. and O. steamer Avoca, Captain Farquhar, arrived at the Sound at 10-30 a.m., on the 4th instant. She left Galle at 4.35 p.m., on the 21st May, and was to leave tho Sound for Melbourne, at noon, on the sth. Captain Nelson, naval agent; Mr. Cooper, purser. PASSENGEES.
