[most OUB KING george's sound telegraphic CORRESPONDENT. ] Adelaide, Sunday, 10 a.m. The steamer Alexandra, Captain J. W. Brown, arrived off Glenelg Pier at midnight, having made the quickest passage from the Sound on record, namely, 86i- hours. The downward passage occupied 120 hours, owing to heavy westerly gales and confused seas, which lasted for three days. The Bombay arrived six hours afterwards, and reported similar weather; she left Galle at 10"30 a.m. on the 4th inst. The P. and O. steamer Avoca, Captain Farquhar, arrived at the Sound at 10-30 a.m., on the 4th instant. She left Galle at 4.35 p.m., on the 21st May, and was to leave tho Sound for Melbourne, at noon, on the sth. Captain Nelson, naval agent; Mr. Cooper, purser. PASSENGEES. For Sydney.—Mrs. Boydon and infant,"Mrs. Henderson and child, Mrs. Powie; Colonel Boileau, Messrs. Caldwell, Treatt, and 11. Brett. For Melbourne. —Miss Crash, Messrs. Brooke, Wright, G. C. Young, Mather, Calley, Godfrey, D. Campbell, J. Karl, A. Johnson, and Bird. For Adelaide. — Miss Gowcr, Captain Lawrence and son, Messrs. Hurtle, Fisher, and Hector. For King George's Sound.—Mr. Hane, and two Misses Hane.
