Beautiful Star, Captain Morwick, left Napinr at 8 p.m. on Tuesday last, experienced fine weather to tho Eaet Cape, and from thence fresh •westerly breezes until arriving at the Tamaki at 7 p.m. yesterday mornin-T. Landed 1,000 sheep in good order and condition, consigned to Messrs. J. S. Macfarlane and Co., s.r.d then came up harbour, anchoring here about 4 j>m. The Beautiful Star leaves again for Napier on Monday next.

ARRIVAL OF THE TASMANIAN MAID. The p.s. Tasinanian Maid, Captain Jackson, left Coromandel at noon yesterday ; had strong westerly winds all the way up, and arrived hero at 5 - 30 p.m., bringing 320 ounces of gold, and tho following passengers :—Mr. Harvey, Mr. Lincoln, Mrs. Beeson, Mr. Collins, Mr. E. Wood, Mr. Kingston, Mrs. Mooney, and four in the Hteerage. She reports tho cutters Wanderer and Petrel as lying at pororaandel when sho left. The Tasmanian Maid sails again frr Wangarei at 11 o'clock to-night. The p.s. Huntres3, having completed the overhaul of her machinery, &c, has gone on the beach to get her bottom cleaned. She will leave for the £ast Coast early. Tho schooner Zillah, Capt. Sulliran, sailed from Napier on tho 17th instant, for this port via tho coast. The cutter Sir Duncan Cameron, Capt Katrray, left Napier for Wellington on the 20th inst. The schooner Kauri, Capt. Shearer, is loading Commissariat stores at the Wharf for the Bay of Plenty and Tituranga. The ediooner Mapere arrivsd yosterday from the Tairua eaw-mille, with a full cargo of timber. The cutter Sea Shell, Capt. Webster, has been chartered for Christchurch, to take down a cargo of sawn timber. The cutter America, Capt. Wheeler, sails this day for Norfolk Island, with stores. &c. She will return hero with a cargo of whalo oil. The French brig Pionnier has come alongside the Wharf, and commenced discharging h6r cargo of sugar. The Anne and Jane, Capt. Smith, came ' alongside the Wharf yesterday to finish tho discharge of her coale. She returns to Newcastle after ballasting. The brig Emma Prescott cleared yesterday for Newcastle, N.S.W., in charge of Mr. Lewis, her former chief officer, and will sail this morning. We aro sorry to say there is etill no tidings of her late commander, Capt. Stanton.

The barque Sunbeam, Cnptain LovellJ arrived at a late hour on Sunday. Khe left Auckland on the morning of Wednesday, the loth inet, with strong winds from tho S.W. to W., and made a fine run to East '"'ape, having rounded it on tho 16th at noon, with moderate weather and variable winds. On Friday the 17th, off Portland Islands, experienced strong north winds backing into tho eouth-weet. Turned up the Bay on Saturday with strong breezes from 8.W., generally under double reefed topsails, tut having patent reefing apparatus in use, made and shortened sail as occasion required. At midnight made the anchorago and moored at the buoy in the roadstead.
