FIRE IN FREEMAN'S BAY.

Just as we were going to press this morning, the fire-bells, whose warning tones have fortunately been hushed for some weeks past, broke out with a sudden clamour in different parts of the city, and at the same time a red glare in the sky, towards the west, indicated that the fire was somewhere in the vicinity of Freeman's Bay, or St. Mary's College. The blaze continued for a few minutes, and then suddenly went down, but whether it was totally extinguished or not we are unable to say. We sincerely trust that there have been no more acts of incendiarism.
