POLKE COURT.—Friday.
(Before Thomas Beckham, Esq., R.M.) Husband and Wife.—Daniel O'Connor, of the North Shore, was charged with having committed an assault upon his wife, Anne O'Connor, on the 26th instant. The prisoner expressed his sorrow; after a short lecture trom the Magistrate,-* he was ordered to find bail—himself in £6O, and two sureties of £3O each—to be of good behaviour for six months. Wandebino at Laroe. —Sydney Stephens was suutnoned for allowing a horse, his property, .to wander at largo in the public thoroughfare. Tue defendant was fined ss. and costs.
Desertion.—James Ogten was handed over to the military authorities, as being a deserter from the 68th Regiment Light'lnfantry,
