MINTING THE EMERGENCY,

(Per Press Association,) WELLINGTON, July 10. There has been no appreciable change in the matter of Wellington's gas supply. There is a considerable demand for kerosene and spirit stoves to-day, and the coal merchants have received a great rush of orders. The supply was cut off to-night at six o'clock, and it is expected the present arrangement will continue until the end of the week.
