AUCKLAND. February 25.
The Waikato Farmers' Club are considering an offer from Nelson Bros, to proride a freezing balk if a guarantee is given that 12,000 sheep per annum will be supplied from Waikato, the Tauranga Ceunty also guaranteeing 12,000. The directors of some large companies who are interested are to be interriewed on the subject. The Auckland Harbor Boord hare reelected Mr M. Nicol as their chairman for the third time. During the week several gentlemen from Wangarei and the Thames have Tinted the prospector's mine at Puhipuht, and they report khat the reef on which the winze is sunk is still improving in width and quality. A number of experts from other parts of New Zealand, and also from Australia hare, it is said, made arrangements for pegging off mining leases when the field is opened.
