ASHBURTON. August 25.
A man named Westaway, in the employ of Mr John Grigg, of Longbeach, was cleaning out the cattle yards with a scoop when the horses bolted and Westaway was knocked down, and the scoop passed over him. He died after a few hours from rupture of the bowelx.
