At ft special meeting of the Auckland Federated Iron Works, held yesterday evening, it we? resolved " That any mechanic required to work on the new ferry boats exact the highest wagss, the proprietors having imported plant ther ou|ht to have been employed to make." It was alao resolved that every effort be made to oust all members representing them in Parliament at next general eleo tions for aft electoral districts of AuekUnd except Mr Moss, they not having supported him in his motion io tbe House to impose a tax on Imported machinery.
