1 TO STAND THIS SEASON, At tho Windsor Park Estate, near Oamaru, Tho Puro-brcd Clydosdalo Stallion BRINCE VICTOR. PRINCE VICTOR is a beautiful, thicksot, stout - heartod, dark - brown stallion, rather undor than over 16 hands 3 inohos, bred by John Hendorson, Esq., Parkmanis. Was got by Princo of Wales, tho illustrious stud horse of L. Drew, Esq., Merryton, out of Rosio, a maro belonging to an exceedingly favorablo strain of blooa ; and is ono of tho fiuost and most perfect mares that over looked through a oridle. Sho gained many first prlzos, and at Maryhill , won second honors as a brood maro in a competition that was open to all Scotland, was got by tho famous horse Victor, tho winnor of first prizes at Gatohouso of Fleet, Stranraor, Kirkcudbright, and Wigtonshire, and in 1864 won second prizo at the Highland Society's Show at Stirling, and was afterwards sold to go to Australia. Tho great breeding lines of Princo Victor aro tno fino combinations of tho Princo of Walcs's blood crossed with that of Victor's, which traco back uninterruptedly to tho Columba Stock of 1835. Rosie's granddam was Jean, tho dam of Disraeli, who, whon a 2-yoar-old, won first prizes at tho Highland Society's Show, held at Glasgow in 1875; and as a 3-year-old ho won first prizo at tho Glasgow Stallion Spring Show of 1876, Princo Victor last year could boast of four winners at tho different shows. Local and district performances such as these, as also his pedigree — ancestry shining with tho names of tho foundors of what is known as tho Victor breed — should not fail to attract attention to Princo Victor's claims as a sire. Ho is a horse of great substance and power, has many points of great excellenco to recommend him as a breeder, qualities which aro inherent in tho Clydesdalo character of tho modern school. Ho has a largo share of his siro's good qualities, tho full aid perfect imago of that which may bo regarded as a specimen of tho genus, and which is virtually extinct in Victoria since the death of Mr Cox's " exceptionally grand horso, Princo of Wales." Thoro is not too much of him, porhapß, but his make, shape, and blood aro tho Burvst test of excellence. His fino legs, strong and great bone, clean, and flowing with nico hair — tho true badgo of a well-bred Clydosdale— and if his siro is a landmark of tho anciont state of things, Princo Victor is tho opitomo of tho new, and ono of tho most compact and fashionable orses to bo seen. Terms — Ton Guineas, payablo on tho Ist February. Groom's Feo, ss. Paddocking free for ono month, after which 2s 6d per week will bo charged. Every care taken, but no responsibility. E.
