CHRISTCHURCH. February 3.
Two deaths have occurred at tho quarantine station. One, an infant, ton Sunday, the other yesterday, of a girl seven years old. Fishhook has been scratched for all his engagements. The annual cricket match between Orago and Canterbury commences on Monday. Only four or five of the Victorian toam will play in our eleven. Mrs Groves, a well-known resident of Kaiapoi, died suddenly of heart disease yesterday. She was found about 10 a.m. lying dead in her garden. At the inquest it was ascertained that death resulted from apoplexy.
