808-IN” AFTERNOON IN KAITAIA
A successful “bob-in” afternoon was held by the W.W.S.A. in the A.N.A. Clubrooms last Friday in aid of Patriotic funds and resulted in the sum of £3O being collected. Of this amount £ll was obtained by the produce and cake stall in charge of Mesdames Morpeth, Molloy and Ferguson. The competitions were run by Mesdames Powell, Surman and A. Thompson. Winners of competitions were as follows: Treasure Hunt Mesdames Kelly, Reynolds, Carson and A. Thompson; Measurements Competition —Mrs. W. Geard; Cards into Bat —Mrs. W. Parker; Fireside Cricket— Mrs. Noble; Paper Tearing—Mrs. Perkins. The competition for a doll was won by Mrs. Cashman, and the afternoon tea was run by Mrs. G. McKenzie and a band of helpers.
