Meeting of Church Centenary Committee
A meeting of the Church Centenary Committee was held on Tuesday evening when arrangements for the erection of the Memorial lych gate were earned a step further. It was suggested that the gate be erected on the Kaitaia side of the Church so that it will be visible from the township. It is anticipated that the material will be on the site this week and that the builder, Mr. Neilson, will be in a position to start work at once.
An offer by Mr. 0. Werner to supply and deliver the gravel required for (lie foundation free of costs was accepted by the Committee and Mr. Werner is to be thanked for bis kindly donation. The memorial tablets to be incorporated in the gate are being made in Whangarei.
