RACE MEETING ON JAN 25
PROGRAMME OF SEVEN RACES.
MR. W. H. EVANS ELECTED LIFE MEMBER.
Subject to the approval of the Auckland District Committee, a programme of seven races, for stakes amounting to £7OO, was decided on at a meeting of the committee of the Waipapakauri Racing Club on Monday evening. The meeting is to be held on the club’s course on January 25. The following officials were appointed :—Judge, Mr. A. Tronson ; starter, Mr. A. Shaw ; assistant starter, Mr. J. T, Clark ; handicapper, Mr. F. J. MacManemin ; clerk of scales, Mr. T. R. McCarthy; timekeeper, Mr. W. H. Evans ; birdcage steward, Mr. A. Shaw ; clerk of the course, Mr. T. R. McCarthy; honorary surgeons, Drs. Cameron and Rix, Several new members were elected. Mr. W. H. Evans, Houhora, was elected a life member.
