WAIPAP RACING CLUB.

ANNUAL MEETING. CONCLUSION OF REPORT. Following is the balance of the report of the Waipapakauri Racing Club’s annual meeting, which, owing to pressure on space, was held over from last issue. ELECTION OF OFFICERS. The following officers were elected for the year : Patron—Capt. 11. M. Rushworth, M.P. President—Mr. 1. H. Kenny, re-elected unanimously. Vice-presidents—Mr. T. J‘ Fleming and Mr. J. Paton. Committee—Messrs. J. T. Clark C. B. Shine, T. S. Houston, A. S. McKenzie, J. Steed, J. neydon, A. W. Masters, H. Gunson, TGallagher and G. Evans. Stewards—Messrs. P. Ihode, H. Tracey, A. Maria, A. Wrigffi, W. Geard, J. Bakalich, J. Churton, V. Kitchen, G. Moore and W. Dale. Treasurer—Mr. L. A. Mclntosh. Auditor—Mr. W. H. Atkins. GENERAL BUSINESS

It was decided to dispose of the old timber at Grassmere, the matter being left in the hands of Messrs. Houston and Masters.

Reference was made by the chairman to the able assistance received from Colonel Bell and later from Captain Rushwoith in regard to the club racing away from home. Both had done good work in keeping the club in favour with the Minister of Internal Affairs. It was decided to endeavour to promote a sports meeting on the club’s course on New Year’s Day. The meeting closed with hearty votes of thanks to the Franklin Racing Club, and to the committee and the chair.
