Racing Club’s Finances
A Satisfactory Position
A condition of the finances was reported by the president, Mr. T. H. Kenny, at the annual meeting of the Waipapakauri Racing Club on Monday evening. Thfe financial position at present was quite good, Mr. Kenny stated, and quite apart from memoership fees the club should be able to start its next meeting with a very small overdraft. The interest would be practically nothing, and for that reason the club should be able to make a do of things. The club was not really out to make money, Mr. Kenny stated. All they wanted was the sport, and they did not want expensive hurdles such as other clubs had invested in.
