At the same sale Mr. Johnstone purchased the heifer Lady Zola for 43 guineas, considered by good judges to be the bargain of the sale, for this heifer is out of the same dam as the good medallist, Zola of Rosy Creek, 741 lbs butterfat as a junior three-year-old, Lady Zola’s sire being Cains, who is out of the same dam as button’s Daisv, 968 lb fat. At Mr. Frank Days Waikato sale of pedigree jetseys last week Mr. Johnatone was also a buyer and these are expecfed to arrive by' the Apanui on Monday. Mr. Johnstone's present herd sire is from a gold medallist—Peggy’s Queen, holder of the Jersey Breeder’sgold medal for 1919 9 with aC.O. R. record of 696 lbs. butterfat.
