Kaitaia.
(From our own correspondent.) An interesting debate was held in the Kaitaia Hall on Saturday evening December 16th, the subject under discussion being “Women’s Francha se.” The attendance was not very large considering the tine weather which prevailed, there being only four ladies present and about a dozen gentlemen. Messrs. G. Bradley, T. BeekieJ and Mclntosh all took the affirmative, while Messrs. W. E. Grigg and O. Fisher took the negative. Nevertheless the ladies won the evening by their show of hands. Tlie school children all passed in the recent examination, which shows great credit to the school teacher, Mr. Mclntosh.
In my last notes I made an error in the report re the Medical Club. It should read Mr. W. R. Grigg, secretary, Mr. J. H. Bedggood, treasurer. Will those interested please note this correction ?
