The Government yesterday received an Egyptian Note asking for negotiations for revision of the 1936 AngloEgyptian Treaty says the diplomatic correspondent of “The Times.” It io understood the Note argues that continuation of the treaty in its present form is unwarranted as there is no longer any military necessity for retention of British troops in Egypt. The Note also suggests the negotiations should cover the Sudan, now under a condominium.
