ARMY PENSION SYSTEM
RACKET IN JAPAN TOki®, Nov. 26. The Japanese military pension system was one of the most insidious rackets in Japan, said the chief of General MacArthur’s economic and scientific section. Colonel Kramer. Under this system a young man need serve only two or three years in China then retire on a pension regardless of age or physical condition. General MacArthur last week ordered the abolition of this system. Its scrapping is estimated to affect about 5.000.000 Japanese directly and another 10.000.000 indirectly.
