CLOUDY WITH OCCASIONAL RAIN Wellington, This Day. Situation: An anti-cyclone is passing to the east from tiie Dominion and a depression is moving south over the central Tasman, Forecast to 5 p.m. Tuesday: Freshening northerly winds. The weather is likely to prove cloudy with occasional rain developing tonight. Temperatures moderate. The further outlook is for a few showers.
Bright, sunny weather conditions tempered only by light sea breezes’ enticed many Nelsonians out of doors during the week-end. Picnic parties were numerous and at Tahuna beach there were quiTe a few enthusiasts taking their first-of-the-season bathe The sunshine on Saturday totalled 11 hours 20 minutes and yesterday 11 hours 25 minutes; The nights were clear and cold, but no frosts were recorded at the Cawthron Institute the minimum temperatures being 32.3 degrees and 32.9 degrees respectively.
