HIGH COMMISSIONER FOR PALESTINE London, July 19. The King has appointed Field Marshal Viscount Gorl. at present Governor and Commander-in-Chief of Malta to bo High Commissioner and Com-mander-in-Chief for Palestine and High Commissioner for Transjordan in succession to Sir Harold Mac Michael, whose term of office will e> pire on 3rd September.
