U.S. SUBMARINE LOST

Washington, June 26. The navy has announced the loss of the submarine Rl2 while training off the east coast recently, probably as the result of an accident. Of the complement of 28 some were saved. The submarine was one of the navy’s oldest and smallest being commissioned in 1919. It had a displacement of 530 tons.
